Collaborative Work

The Irish Arts Foundation works in collaboration with other Irish welfare and community groups in addition to other multi-cultural music and art schemes within the city, various statutory agencies, voluntary sector groups and umbrella organisations specifically dealing with community cohesion and regeneration.

The Irish Arts Foundation has established ongoing partnership, collaborative work and project inks across the city with an eclectic range of educational, community arts, music projects and venues including Leeds Museums and Galleries Services, Leeds City Libraries, Swarthmore Education Centre, Inkwell Leeds Mind, Seven Arts in Chapel Allerton, Headingley Music and Literary Festivals, Meanwood Community and Arts Festival and Chapel FM in East Leeds.

Two particularly innovative partnerships have been the 'Milun' project with South Asian Arts, a performance group featuring two Irish and two Indian Musicians and the more recent Inter-Celtic project celebrating the musical crossover between Ireland, Galicia and Asturias.

The links established with our colleagues in London with the Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith, Irish Film London and York Irish Association, provide ongoing opportunities for collaborative project work on a national and regional basis.
