The Emigrant Support Programme is a tangible expression of the Government’s support of, commitment to, and interest in the global Irish community.

The Ireland Funds Great Britain raises money to make a real difference to those in need and to support Irish culture in Great Britain and also on the island of Ireland. We identify, monitor, fund and mentor charities and non-profits that promote wellbeing, community and culture, including those that best support Irish communities.
In 2011, St Chad’s Parish Church in Headingley set up a special Endowment Fund with the Leeds Community Foundation. Projects must primarily benefit local people in the St. Chad’s Parish boundaries, which include all or part of the Far Headingley, Headingley, Weetwood, Lawnswood, West Park, Becketts Park and Highbury areas.
The National Lottery Heritage Fund, formerly the Heritage Lottery Fund, distributes a share of National Lottery funding, supporting a wide range of heritage projects across the United Kingdom. Funding was secured from The National Lottery Heritage Fund for the ‘Untold Stories’ project.
